Further Information: She’s been on two wheels since she was 8, after getting tired of just watching her brother Will race. By 10, she was already competing in the AMCA on her 65cc with the Hereford club before joining Teme Valley MX.
Her most standout Weston moment? In 2024, she powered her way to 3rd place in the Women’s Adult Solo — despite serious bike issues in the final 30 minutes. So much pushing, she didn’t even realise she’d podiumed… and missed the celebration! 🏁
Now 19, Daisy balances her racing passion with another talent — blacksmithing. She’s just completed a 3-year course at Holme Lacy and was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year, alongside multiple distinctions for her work.

The story of Brian's journey
📖 The Story
Years Active: Riders come from all over the world to race Weston.
In 2024, Brian flew in from Canada after discovering the race on YouTube.
“I found the race on YouTube and dropped a comment on your Facebook. A great man named Greg messaged me and offered to let me race his Yamaha YFZ450.”
“So I booked a flight from Montreal, landed in Bristol on Thursday — and we drove straight to Weston Beach and raced!”
“We had a great start… but after one hour, the engine completely blew up.” 💥
Further Achievements: Small Wheel 85 Arena Cross British Champion 2024. In 2021 John secured an overall win in an auto and 65cc class at Pendine Beach.
In 2023, he dominated the BSMA series, winning every moto he entered. Unfortunately, he missed the final round to compete in the arenacross mandatory race in which he won every moto. This ment finishing second in the BSMA Championship.
In 2024, John competed in the SMX World All-Stars event in Charlotte North Carolina, unfortunately, we had numerous Bike issues but the experience was immense. That same year, he claimed titles in 3 countries arenacross‑British Champion, Portuguese Supercross Champion, and Italian Prince of Carpi Arena Cross Champion.
In 2025, he became the Small Wheel 85 Arena Cross British Champion—and made history as the only rider ever to win both the Super Mini and Small Wheel championships within ten years and across 100 shows.
John has proudly represented Team GB in the world championship’s 65 cc class for the past two years. Although he won the race this year fair and square, a red flag with just two corners to go—and the subsequent reversion to two laps prior—led to a 5th-place finish. But everyone knows the truth and we move on.
Weston Beach Race 2024:
Our first experience in the Western Beach Race was unforgettable. We loved every moment, John led strongly until lap 7, when the bike repeatedly stalled due to water ingress. Despite this, he battled on to finish fourth. That experience taught us so much—we’re more prepared than ever for this year and can’t wait 🙌

The Story: Steve Jones is an Avid fan of the Weston Beach Race and has been going since the very early years of the event.
He loves it so much so that he now runs a Facebook group called “Weston beach Race early years” in which he shows his inherited memorabilia from George Greenland. He has a feature in the Printed programme this year which we highly recommend you give a read!
